Me, I love spicy. Spicy is good. Spicy makes food interesting. However, you have to be careful with spicy. Too much spicy will burn the bejeezus out of your mouth to the point you can’t taste, or even eat your food. That’s not good spicy. That’s too much spicy. Too much spicy is not good. Thankfully, this spicy feta dip was not like that.
It was spicy, but not overpowering in any way. The feta and spices balanced each other beautifully. None of the flavors were too strong or emphasized over another. Each bite started off with feta that slowly gave way to a spicy backend that left you wanting more every time. It was a first for me but it went together well and I’m very pleased with the experience.
The pita chips were lightly toasted and were even good by themselves. The best part is that they’re strong enough to hold plenty of dip. There’s nothing worse than flimsy or fragile chips when digging into some delicious dip. These chips are not like that. They are like little workhorses unafraid to dig in or get their metaphorical hands dirty. They know how to work.
The Spicy Feta Dip with Pita Chips is a new menu item and may or may not be made permanent. Come in, try some, and let us know what you think! It’s a great, non-filling way to start a meal and definitely worth every penny.
